THREE SEASONS IN ONE WEEK
Wrap up of our second week in Sweden. Also a “wrap up” of three seasons in one week!
Sunday March 31st was a beautiful day to go for our first hike with the dogs around the Lilla Färgen lake. First Swedish swim for Rusty: check! More kilometers than planned: check! ;-) Spotted our first deer (but too quick for a picture): check! Enjoyed the beautiful scenery: check!

On Monday April 1st (yes…), we had another lovely day of spring weather with 13°C. Enjoyable weather, so we spend the afternoon outside in the garden to finish the fence for the dogs. They all three ran around happily and enjoyed a little sunbathing.
Although the weather forecast predicted it, we were a little surprised to wake up with -1°C the next day and see 20cm of snow had fallen from the sky by the afternoon. This day, only one of the dogs enjoyed being outside… The girls stayed inside and weren’t keen on going into the garden even when needed! Wednesday was also snowy but with some sun. Just beautiful!
Magical…
Someone just loves it…
By Saturday the snow had disappeared again, and we were able to go for a walk to discover the surroundings. Much to Rusty’s joy, we found the Ören lake almost in our backyard!
Sunday started as a typical autumn day… 10°C and rain, rain, rain and more rain. Luckily the sun came out in the afternoon, so we went for another walk in the opposite direction as Saturday. The Ömmern lake is much bigger (9,75km2), but again a beautiful scenery! And guess what… Rusty swam again! I think he’s the most happy one we moved here so far ;-)
Tomorrow will mark a new beginning… I (Valérie) will start working at Alingsås Djursjukhus, also as a veterinary cardiologist. I’m very curious what this new job will bring! I’ll keep you posted…
